December, 2025
I now have a daughter, so caring for an infant has become my primary occupation. It’s a big change, but has been fun.

Reading:
I purchased a compact e-ink reader, and it has been amazing for enabling reading during late-night baby care sessions.
- Lots of Russian Literature. I read many of the Russian classics during
high-school and early college. It felt like the right time to revisit
some of those authors.
- Dostoyevsky’s Notes From a Dead House and Notes From Underground.
- Tolstoy’s The Death of Ivan Ilyich and Other Stories.
- Poor Charlie’s Almanack. This has been a fun read. Charlie Munger is a real character. His ideas and advice about effective decision making are applicable far beyond the realm of investing.
Listening:
Making:
- Working on building my own toy RISC-V operating system kernel.
- Cleaning up and polishing some of my older projects.
Doing:
- Raising my infant daughter!
- Picked up skipping rope for a convenient and effective conditioning workout. Making it to the gym during the week will likely be a challenge once I return to work, so I’m taking up activities I can do at home to maintain fitness.
